Vehicle and kit scope
The source identifies the Mercedes-Benz GLC254, model years 2023–2024, and describes replacement metal midrange speaker covers with edge lighting, adapter harnesses and lighting modules. It states that the plug-in arrangement works without programming and describes compatibility with high- and low-specification vehicles. The source does not provide equipment-option or kit-part identifiers for those variants; confirm the actual vehicle, lighting system and supplied harness/module combination.
The source introductory text mentions single-color, multicolor, breathing and voice-synchronized color changes. Its detailed explanations cover single-color, multicolor and dynamic multicolor; no procedure or operating conditions are given for breathing or voice synchronization.
Product and supplied components
The source labels the illuminated covers, extension leads, ambient-lighting modules, mounting screws and adapter leads. It does not specify the mounting screw thread size; the “M4” label in the English image is unverified.
Wiring overview
Figure 2 labels the power adapter connector, illuminated-cover module and cover light in the left-door examples. The source labels the right-door end lights as armrest lights instead. It does not explain that difference or provide a complete connector/pin map, so do not use this overview to choose terminals or mix the two endpoint descriptions.
Installation sequence shown in the source
- The front- and rear-door examples each show two T30 door-panel screws. The arrows identify the positions used when releasing the panel; the source describes horizontal release toward the rear. Obtain the precise panel-release procedure for the vehicle rather than inferring additional force directions from the photograph alone.
- The source marks the original cover's weld points, describes removing them and re-welding the replacement illuminated cover in place. The product image also lists mounting screws. The source does not explain the relationship between these fastening methods or give a weld-point removal/refastening method.
- The adapter-harness photographs identify the door control module's connector No. 12, the door panel's blue 10-pin connector, and the plug-in connections to the light heads. Connector No. 12 is a connector identifier; it is not an instruction to connect to terminal 12.
Lighting functions
The following descriptions come from the source text. Some English menu images below have been redrawn and do not reproduce the original control layout accurately; Figure 5 has been restored to the original photograph with English reading notes. Use the vehicle's actual menu; the added controls in those English images are not verified instructions.
Single color
All ambient-light sources use the same selected color; the source states that 64 colors are available.
Multicolor
Light sources produce zoned effects; the source states that 10 theme-color combinations are available. Figure 5 retains the original photograph with ten theme choices. Its English reading notes explain the original layout without adding a brightness slider or changing the theme count.
Figure 5 reading notes: The original photographs and Chinese annotations are retained.
- Ambient lighting: the Color page is open and Multicolor is selected.
- The original screen shows ten theme combinations.
- Left-side menu labels: Color, Brightness and Effects.
- The highlighted tile marks the selected source theme.
- This Color-page photograph does not show a separate brightness slider.
- Check the actual vehicle menu and kit version; the photo does not establish additional functions.
Dynamic multicolor
The zoned light sources alternate colors according to the selected theme-color combination. The original photographed effects screen shows exit warning and dynamic multicolor. It does not show the extra “Lightning” option added in the English image.
Illustrated appearance
Troubleshooting described in the source
- Covers do not illuminate: Check that door connectors are fully seated. Reconnect them, adjust the ambient-lighting settings, then lock the vehicle and allow it to sleep for 10 minutes before checking again.
- Covers still do not illuminate: Restore every original factory ambient-lighting connector. The source states that an open original lighting circuit prevents the cover module from reading the signal and operating.
- One door's cover does not illuminate: Compare its light head and adapter harness with the corresponding components to identify the fault; replace the defective light head or wiring as needed.
- One door's cover is dim: Check whether the light head has come loose and secure the lighting connector/light assembly again as needed.
- The light head illuminates but does not change color: Compare light heads to check operation and replace the faulty one if identified.
- All lighting on one door, including the original ambient lighting, is off: Check whether a door-panel installation screw has pinched the harness.
- The fault remains: Ask the supplier's technician for installation support with the vehicle and kit details.
The source does not provide a complete variant-specific wiring map, fastening specifications or a finished reassembly/test procedure. Its plug-in and no-programming descriptions do not establish that the whole installation is damage-free: the illustrated cover-mount operation changes the original weld points.
