This guide follows the active ambient-lighting kit and installation demonstration archived under CKCP source archive / qD4ANvK. The product image states applicability to 2022–2024 C-Class W206 vehicles. That is a source-image claim; confirm the actual vehicle, factory lighting equipment and supplied kit revision with the supplier before using the demonstration.

1. Product and parts reference

Source-linked English product reference

Use the original image's numbered legend to identify the pictured parts:

  1. 01 — Multicolor light strips.
  2. 02 — Four door submodules. Their labels distinguish front left (FL), front right (FR), rear left (RL) and rear right (RR).
  3. 03 — Main interior module. The pictured label identifies the right-front footwell position.
  4. 04 — Protocol box.
  5. 05 — Module/protocol-box power adapter harness set.
  6. 06 — Power splitter lead for the main module and protocol box.
  7. 07 — Center-console light-strip extension cable. This is distinct from item 08. The existing English image incorrectly adds a four-door extension-cable description beneath item 07.
  8. 08 — Four-door light-strip extension cables.

Module labels show RGB1, RGB2, RGB3 and SPI4. These are port labels, not a pinout: “SPI4” does not establish four connector pins. The pictured main and door modules carry identification 5.25.00110, while the door module shown near the video's end carries 5.25.00607. Confirm the applicable module revision rather than treating the product image and video as proof of interchangeable hardware.

2. Installation video and step navigation

Watch the locally linked English installation video

The approximately 3-minute-14-second video covers interior wiring first, then a door-panel installation example. The navigation below describes the demonstrated kit. It does not supply the missing fuse assignment, electrical ratings, power-isolation procedure or complete reassembly instructions. The English video retains Chinese source captions and physical module labels, so check the port and door-label distinctions below against the actual kit.

  1. 00:07–00:37 — Interior modules and blue adapter. The installer identifies two interior modules and the adapter harness. The blue branch is demonstrated at the right-front corner/footwell light: the original connector is unplugged, the shown adapter connections are mated, and the light is shown illuminated. Follow the specific mating arrangement depicted; color alone does not establish compatibility.
  2. 00:37–01:03 — Interior power and module branches. The installer points to the fuse-box area and describes the red lead as a constant-power connection, then demonstrates the splitter feeding the two modules and opening the protocol-box housing to attach the shown connector. A remaining connector is explicitly left unused in this demonstration before the housing is closed. The source does not identify a fuse slot, fuse rating, voltage or connector pin assignment. Obtain the kit's verified power instructions before making this connection; an unidentified spare connector is not universally safe to leave unused.
  3. 01:04–01:24 — Interior strip and SPI4. The demonstration identifies SPI4 as the active-strip port and excludes RGB1, RGB2 and RGB3 for this illustrated strip. It shows tucking the strip into the indicated interior trim gap. Match the printed SPI4 label on the actual module; do not interpret the final digit as a pin count or apply the illustrated port rule to an unconfirmed module revision.
  4. 01:25–01:35 — Door-panel screws. In the door example, the source specifies a T20 Torx driver and removes the two lower screws shown.
  5. 01:36–01:58 — Door-trim release. A trim tool releases the shown clips. The installer pulls and lifts the trim and releases the handle connection shown, then presses the retaining clips to unplug the two connectors on the back of the panel. Follow the demonstrated positions rather than assuming another trim or equipment version is identical.
  6. 01:59–02:24 — Door module adapter. The module is connected to its power lead. Two black adapter connectors are inserted at the factory ambient-light connection demonstrated on the panel, with the original connection returned through the adapter. The source's “any ambient-light plug” wording is not an independently verified statement that every connector or vehicle configuration is interchangeable.
  7. 02:25–02:55 — Door strip and extension cable. The installer uses the trim tool to open the indicated gap, inserts the strip, leaves the wire/connector exiting on the illustrated side, and joins the extension cable. The source again identifies SPI4 for this active strip and says not to use RGB1, RGB2 or RGB3 for it. Keep the cable-routing and mating arrangement tied to the depicted kit.
  8. 02:56–03:06 — Module positioning and door identity. The source says to secure the module after fitting the strip and stresses using the module labelled for that door: FL for front left, FR for front right, and the corresponding rear labels for the rear doors. It does not specify a mounting method, fastening torque or pairing/coding procedure. Check the actual labels and supplier instructions; the four door modules are not presented as interchangeable.

Some English cues rely on “this,” “here” and “any” and need clearer wording tied to the depicted connectors. The complete English narration and subtitle timing still require continuous listening and playback checks; the navigation is not an audiovisual acceptance result.

3. Installation result

The original article's separate result section contains no additional demonstration material. The video shows illuminated lighting during installation, but it does not establish a complete post-installation test of every door, active-lighting response, vehicle controls, final reassembly or long-term operation. A source-specific completed-installation and functional test record is still needed.

4. Troubleshooting and missing technical information

The original fault section contains no diagnostic procedure. No fuse change, voltage selection, pin swap, coding, reset or pairing remedy is established here. For a problem, give the supplier the vehicle and factory lighting configuration, exact module identification and FL/FR/RL/RR labels, affected position, symptom and clear connector photographs so the matching kit instructions can be identified.
