Partial English installation video — four corrected phrases

Read the reviewed English excerpt

Only four subtitle excerpts have been checked. Other time windows and the voice track still require review.

These controls navigate the four excerpts. They do not confirm the other subtitles or the audio.

Original English video retained for comparison:

The times below are navigation points in this approximately 3 minute 40 second video. They describe the demonstrated sequence. The source does not provide the vehicle power-isolation procedure, a harness pinout, fuse rating, tightening torques, or reset-device operation. Obtain the kit instructions and the applicable vehicle service procedure before carrying out the work.

Remove the instrument display and glovebox area

  1. 00:16–00:36 — Instrument-display rear trim. Use the trim tool at the rear trim behind the driver's instrument display and release its clips. Remove the two T20 screws exposed beneath it, one on each side.
  2. 00:38–00:46 — Instrument display. Release the two clips shown, lift the instrument display upward, and disconnect its rear connector. This is the driver's instrument display, separate from the new passenger entertainment screen.
  3. 00:49–01:03 — Passenger dashboard end cap and glovebox fasteners. Pry off the passenger-side dashboard end cap. Remove the screw exposed behind it and the three glovebox fasteners indicated in the video.
  4. 01:03–01:22 — Door sill, lower panel, and glovebox. Lift out the passenger door-sill trim. Remove the T20 screw shown in the panel beneath the glovebox and remove that panel. Remove the additional T20 screw shown in the glovebox area. Release and lift out the glovebox assembly, then disconnect its connectors. The door-sill trim shown here is not a foot pedal.

Open the centre console and release the dashboard assembly

  1. 01:22–01:42 — Centre-console decorative trim and covered compartment assembly. Release the clips of the decorative top trim around the centre-console compartment and disconnect its lighting connector. Remove the two screws indicated below the trim, lift out the covered compartment assembly, and disconnect the lighting connectors shown behind it.
  2. 01:43–01:56 — Centre-console mounting screws. Remove the two Phillips screws exposed beneath the compartment assembly. Release the small trim pieces on the left and right sides to reach a hidden T20 screw on each side; remove both.
  3. 01:57–02:09 — Centre armrest storage compartment. Open the storage compartment between the front seats, lift the insert, and remove the two Phillips screws shown inside. This is the centre-console storage compartment, separate from the passenger glovebox. Release and reposition the centre console as demonstrated to open access below the dashboard.
  4. 02:09–02:24 — Remaining dashboard access fasteners. Remove the two fasteners indicated at the passenger end and beside the engine start/stop button, then remove the trim component shown. Reach through the exposed opening to remove the two T20 screws indicated beneath the central display. Remove the additional side screw shown next.
  5. 02:24–02:36 — Large dashboard panel/display assembly. Release the assembly gradually with the trim tool. The video specifically warns that its clips are tight. Support the assembly as it comes free and disconnect the rear connectors shown before removing it completely.

Transfer the original display components

  1. 02:37–02:57 — Rear cover and display mounting. With the removed assembly supported on the work surface, release the four rear-cover clips indicated in the video and remove the cover. Remove the four display mounting screws shown.
  2. 02:58–03:14 — Display component transfer. Remove the display panel and disconnect the ribbon cable as demonstrated. Transfer the original display components into the replacement panel; the video identifies the fan and circuit board during this transfer. Refit the cover and screws. Follow the supplied kit instructions for the ribbon connectors and mounting details; no torque values are given in the video.

Identify the harness connections shown

  1. 03:16–03:29 — Adapter and power connections. The video identifies an adapter connector for the cigarette-lighter connection beneath the lower panel, points out a yellow lead described as the ACC/fuse connection, and mates another connector with the black connector shown. It does not identify a fuse position, fuse rating, wire pin assignment, or complete power/ground wiring. Obtain the kit-specific wiring diagram before connecting the yellow lead or applying power; colour alone is not enough to identify a circuit.
  2. 03:29–03:36 — USB and unused connectors. Keep the USB lead accessible for later use. The Chinese caption says to leave it available; the original English video's “leave the USB unused” wording is misleading. The presenter next identifies two connectors to wrap and leave unused for this demonstrated installation. Confirm those exact connectors against your harness documentation rather than treating every spare connector as unused.
  3. 03:36–03:39 — Reset device. The final connector is described as connecting to a reset device (复位器). Its type, final connection, and operating sequence are not demonstrated. Obtain the instructions for the supplied reset device; the video does not establish that it is a simple reset switch or specify any button-press duration.

Completion and support

The video mentions reinstalling the assembled screen, but its ending concentrates on harness identification. It does not supply a complete trim-refitting sequence or a demonstrated final passenger-screen function check. The original written tutorial provides no troubleshooting procedure. Obtain CKCP's completion checks and kit-specific troubleshooting instructions before treating the installation as complete. When requesting help, provide your vehicle configuration, kit/harness identification, connector photos, and the relevant video time.

Corrected English source reference

Four phrases in the existing English subtitle text have been corrected against this tutorial’s own source frames. The external edit files are retained. The local partial video now shows these four corrected subtitles; the original video and voice track remain unchanged. All 29 time windows and segmentation are retained. The other 25 cues, opening alignment and full audio/video synchronization have not been approved by this correction.
