Vehicle and kit scope
The source guide covers 2023–2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC254 vehicles with factory ambient lighting. The product illustration is labeled 2023. Confirm the vehicle equipment, audio system and exact kit/module version before installation; the shared 206/254/223 marking on the illustrated modules does not establish fitment for other vehicles.
The source calls this an A-pillar tweeter upgrade, but its installation and result photographs show tweeter assemblies beside the mirrors on the front doors, with door-panel removal. Confirm this mounting location for the actual kit before removing trim.
The introduction describes installation without routine programming. Its troubleshooting section separately mentions single-color learning and diagnostic address learning. Confirm the module-specific conditions and procedure if that fault occurs; a general no-programming claim does not resolve it. Electrical isolation and tightening specifications are not included in the source and must be obtained for the vehicle and kit before installation.
1. Product and numbered parts
The source illustration identifies 01 the left and right 4D rotating tweeters and 02 their rotating drive modules with harnesses. The source troubleshooting also refers to lighting modules and two-module connections but does not fully identify their relationship. Confirm the full module/harness arrangement for the supplied version.
2. Illustrated installation sequence
- Remove the two T30 door-panel screws shown in the photograph.
- Use the illustrated plastic trim tool to release the door panel at the indicated gap. The source does not provide the complete electrical disconnection or refitting procedure.
- Release the tweeter cover's T20 screw and remove the cover as illustrated.
- Route the kit's tweeter harness through the factory tweeter opening and secure the replacement tweeter using the illustrated T20 fastener. Obtain the appropriate tightening specification before fastening.
- Disconnect the blue connector No. 12 at the factory door-control module and insert the matching kit adapter in line between the factory connector and the module, as shown. No. 12 identifies the connector, not pin 12. The source does not authorize inserting a wire into a guessed cavity or substituting a similar-looking module.
- Connect the kit's speaker adapter through the factory midrange-speaker connection illustrated in this source. Confirm the connector and audio-system variant before making the connection; the source does not supply an electrical pinout or speaker specifications.
3. Lighting functions
The source describes 64 single colors, 10 multicolor themes and dynamic multicolor operation, in which zoned light sources alternate colors according to the selected theme. Its effect-menu photograph shows Exit warning and Dynamic multicolor.
Check the actual vehicle's factory menus. The source single-color screenshot uses a continuous color selector; its multicolor screenshot shows ten themes. A redrawn six-color or six-theme panel with a separate brightness bar does not reproduce those screenshots and should not be used to locate the controls.

5. Troubleshooting
- The rotating tweeter does not work: inspect the matching in-line adapter at blue connector No. 12, check for bent or displaced terminals, and confirm the module arrangement and connector seating. The source does not provide a complete two-module wiring diagram; obtain it if the supplied version is unclear.
- The rotation motor does not work: first determine whether one or both sides are affected and compare the wiring. The source proposes comparing motor harnesses, modules and tweeters between sides; confirm that the components and their configuration are compatible before any substitution.
- There is no sound: check the speaker connection and confirm the exact audio-harness variant. The source proposes speaker substitution and connection through a midrange connector, but provides no pinout or speaker specifications. Obtain the matched diagnostic instructions before connecting a different speaker circuit.
- The tweeter lighting does not work: inspect lighting-harness and module connections, compare the sides and identify the affected component using the diagnostic procedure for the kit. Do not assume that a rotating drive module and a lighting module are interchangeable.
- Factory door functions become abnormal: check the installation and restore the factory connector/harness arrangement if required. The source suggests locking the vehicle and allowing a 10-minute sleep period; it does not establish that this alone repairs a wiring or module fault.
- Multicolor works but single-color does not: the source suggests changing the single color by voice control and repeating learning, or using a dedicated diagnostic computer for address learning. It supplies no detailed command sequence or address settings; request the procedure for the exact module before attempting it.
If the fault remains, contact CKCP support with the vehicle configuration, audio system, module labels, harness details and the affected function.
