The archived source identifies this kit for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class 214, with lighting linked to the factory ambient-lighting function. Figure 1 labels the illustrated kit W214 and 64-color. The video shows an illuminated housing and retaining clip fitted around the existing buckle; it does not demonstrate replacing the belt's load-bearing latch or anchorage. Exact vehicle, seat and kit compatibility still require confirmation.
The source describes an adapter connection to the factory footwell light under the seat. Its description of installation without altering the original wiring is a source claim, not a verified electrical or restraint-system acceptance result.
1. Product and harness overview
- Item 01: illuminated buckle housings.
- Item 02: connecting harnesses with modules.
The photograph illustrates two housings and two module harnesses. It does not define a universal kit quantity, connector pinout or specification for every seat configuration.
2. Installation references from the source-linked video
The local English video is linked to the exact installation source through the archived article, embedded video identifier and original media record. The numbered references below combine the source's Chinese on-screen captions with sampled source/English frames and the existing subtitle scripts. They do not replace the unresolved technical instructions.
- Housing and retaining clip — approximately 00:30–01:19: the source compares an incompletely seated clip with the fully seated position. It then fits the housing and the retaining piece around the existing buckle. Route the lighting lead without trapping it and check that the illustrated clips close without a visible gap. The source mentions pressing the clips into place but does not specify allowable force, exact engagement checks or a method for every buckle version.
- Adapter and routing — approximately 01:20–01:49: connect the illustrated adapter harness to the housing lead, then guide the wire down. From the rear seating area, the source routes it through the illustrated backrest seam and along the lower route toward the footwell. Do not treat an arbitrary seat seam as an approved route; the exact clearance from seat-moving and restraint-system components remains to be confirmed.
- Factory footwell-light connection — approximately 01:49–02:36: the source removes the footwell light, releases its connector clip, mates the shown blue adapter connection, returns the other connection to the factory footwell light, organizes the wire and refits the lamp. No terminal assignment, isolation sequence, connector orientation diagram or circuit-protection specification is supplied. The English subtitle sequence around 02:30–02:45 contains contradictory remove/refit wording; this is a translation gap, not an instruction to repeatedly remove the lamp.
- Wire placement and opposite side — approximately 02:42–03:05: the source places the remaining wire below the seat, asks for a function test and states that the right-side operation is similar. Keep the wire from being pinched. That source statement does not establish identical connectors, clearance or suitability for every opposite-side seat.
The available material does not provide a complete verified procedure for buckle operation, seat movement, restraint warnings or final commissioning after the accessory is fitted. Those checks remain open.
3. Ambient-lighting controls shown in the video
The Chinese on-screen-caption record and English script identify main menu → Comfort → Ambient Light → Color, approximately 03:06–03:33. The demonstration describes single-color and multicolor choices and the illuminated cover following the selected ambient-lighting colors.
At approximately 03:35–03:44, the demonstration adjusts the brightness channel labelled Direct on the shown vehicle: the source describes 0 as off and 20 as maximum. This is the displayed vehicle's menu scale, not a universal brightness value or a requirement to change every ambient-lighting zone. Menu names and available settings may differ by vehicle configuration.
4. Result-video source reference
The separate result-showcase link in the archived Chinese body has no article identifier. Archive reference R1: separate effect video not recovered. The linked installation video below must not be reclassified as that missing effect video, or used to claim final installation acceptance.
5. Troubleshooting
- Check that the module is connected using the correct adapter at the factory footwell light under the seat. Check whether the original footwell light illuminates, then use the vehicle's ambient-lighting menu to adjust color and brightness.
- If the cover and ambient-lighting colors differ, select red, blue and green separately and compare synchronization. If a particular color does not match, the source asks installers to inspect for a pinched wire or a lamp-unit problem. This identifies items to investigate, not a confirmed fault or pin assignment.
- If the issue remains unresolved, contact CKCP technical support with the vehicle configuration, kit details and the relevant step or video time.
Installation videos
The present English video is an internal translated render. Its opening 00:00–00:30 subtitle is only “You,” omitting the source's product, 2024 E214 and footwell-light-adapter introduction. Continuous playback, listening and complete translation/technical acceptance have not been performed in this local review.
