Vehicle and kit scope

The written Chinese archive names 2017–2024 E-Coupe 238 and describes an assembly installation using adapter harnesses, retaining factory wiring and factory ambient-light control. The product image names 2016–2022 E-Coupe W238; the linked installation video's opening card names 2016–2023 E-Coupe. These ranges conflict. Confirm the vehicle year, market, chassis, steering side, original audio/ambient-light equipment and supplied kit revision before using this guide. The broad module-family label does not establish fitment for another vehicle.

Product image and parts

Archived English product and accessory image

The source picture identifies three groups:

  1. 4D rotating tweeters: the left and right triangular door-corner assemblies.
  2. Adapter harnesses: the supplied mating leads shown with white and blue connectors.
  3. Ambient-light modules: the source sticker reads C/E/S/GLC/GLE (4D), Rotary Drive Module, CKCP V1.1, 2024/07/06. This is the pictured identifier, not approval for every listed chassis.

The source advertises 64-color operation. The current English picture masks part of the small module sticker; keep the original revision information when preparing the corrected image.

Archived wiring diagrams

Both original PDFs remain in their existing order. They describe different rotating-tweeter versions and remain Chinese diagrams. Confirm which harness and diagram revision apply to the supplied E-Coupe kit; do not combine their numbered callouts with the video's connector identifiers.

Continuous-rotation tweeter — LIN lighting wiring diagram, original Chinese PDF

The first PDF's numbered legend is:

  1. Rotating tweeter.
  2. Reserved speaker connector, unused in the pictured arrangement.
  3. 2-pin, 2-wire connector for the rotating assembly's speaker input.
  4. Speaker connector to the original speaker.
  5. Drive-module connector.
  6. Rotary drive module, controlling the motor.
  7. 5-pin, 5-wire motor connection.
  8. 4-pin, 3-wire lighting connection.
  9. Three-way lighting lead for the inner and outer light circuits.
  10. Rotating-light extension connection.
  11. Main-harness power connector, using an adapter at the original ambient-light connection.

4D rotating tweeter — LIN lighting wiring diagram, original Chinese PDF

The second PDF's numbered legend is:

  1. Rotating tweeter.
  2. 4-pin, 3-wire rotating-lighting connection.
  3. Main-harness power connector, using an adapter at the original ambient-light connection.
  4. Drive-module connector.
  5. Rotary drive module, controlling the rotating tweeter motor.
  6. 5-pin, 5-wire motor connection.
  7. Speaker connectors to the original speaker.

Both PDFs show an alternative speaker adapter for a vehicle without the pictured midrange speaker, using the bass-speaker line, with an unused lead reserved. This is a diagram variant requiring configuration confirmation. Both also instruct full connector seating, recommend professional installation and require functional checks afterwards; they state that the left and right connection methods are the same. They do not provide terminal polarity, a fuse/ground map, approved power isolation, coding settings or torque values.

Installation video and source navigation

Existing English installation video

This local video is the existing 027 E-Coupe render. The following navigation restores the specific Chinese source actions. It is a review aid for this demonstrated kit and door, not a substitute for a verified vehicle-specific electrical and restraint-system procedure.

  1. 00:11–00:30 — Introduction, tools and fasteners. The source opening identifies E-Coupe, 4D rotating tweeters and the three kit groups. The tools card shows a flat-blade screwdriver, T30 driver, plastic trim tool, protective cloth and harness tape. The source shows two door-panel screws, including a cover removed with the flat-blade tool and a T30 screw behind it. The English introduction currently says “Chinese, Chinese, Chinese...” and omits these details.
  2. 00:30–00:44 — Release the door panel. Insert the trim tool at the demonstrated position, release the trim and pull it rearwards as shown. Release the lower retaining clip outward. Disconnect the door-handle cable and tweeter lead from the back of the panel. The demonstrated direction should not be generalized to a different door or trim revision.
  3. 00:47–00:50 — Disconnect the lower plug. The source shows the lower electrical connector released before moving the panel away. The release method and isolation procedure need technical confirmation.
  4. 00:50–01:07 — Fit the adapter and secure the module. The blue adapter is shown mating with the vehicle connector identified in the source as No. 6. This is a demonstrated connector identifier, not terminal pin 6 and not PDF callout 6. The module is secured at the demonstrated position with double-sided tape. Verify connector identity, clearances and fixing requirements for the actual vehicle.
  5. 01:08–01:16 — Protect and reconnect the harness. The Chinese source says to wrap the harness, then shows reconnecting the panel plugs. Preserve the wrapping step as well as routing; the English text currently mentions routing alone.
  6. 01:16–01:25 — Identify the three lead groups. The source distinguishes the speaker lead, motor-drive lead and ambient-light lead. These are three separate harness groups, not three individual electrical conductors. Follow the demonstrated speaker adapter connection only after confirming the correct harness version.
  7. 01:26–01:41 — Connect lighting and drive leads. The source shows the two mating three-wire lighting plugs. At about 01:37 it explicitly names the motor connection 5P; the English video and voice script incorrectly say 5B. The PDFs separately label this motor connection as 5-pin/5-wire. Neither notation supplies a terminal-level electrical map. Reattach the door-handle cable as demonstrated.
  8. 01:44–01:45 — Restore the speaker plug. Reconnect the speaker lead to the rotating tweeter assembly, following the demonstrated mating connector.
  9. 01:46–01:58 — Seat the triangular assembly. Engage the two clips on the rotating tweeter with the door trim. Once clipped in, push the assembly rearwards until fully seated, following the source arrow. The English “hold it open” wording is incorrect; the source says that the clips have been engaged. Refit the door panel afterwards. Clip integrity, wiring clearance, screw tightening and final retention need acceptance.
  10. 02:05–02:23 — Demonstrated motion and lighting. The source describes the light switching on and the tweeter slowly extending when the vehicle is started, staying extended during use, and retracting after shutdown. This description has not been accepted as a complete vehicle test. The film visibly contains warning indications, including a left-front fault with a restraint/airbag symbol at about 02:20 and a 12-volt battery message at about 02:26. The steering-wheel centre is visibly removed in the later overview. Do not treat the demonstrated illumination or the English “drive normally” sentence as fault-free or restraint-system acceptance. The cause and resolution of the visible warnings are not supplied.
  11. 02:23–02:44 — Factory-screen navigation. The demonstrated path is Vehicle → Lighting Settings → Ambient Lighting. The film shows the multi-color option and lighting effects. The vehicle screen remains Chinese in the English render; menu names here are translations of the demonstrated path.
  12. 02:44–03:23 — Color and brightness. The source demonstrates selecting a single color and describes 64 colors, including red, blue and green, synchronized with the original ambient lighting. It also shows brightness adjustment, including the Interior and Display brightness controls. These observations do not verify every color, zone, vehicle configuration or long-term operation. The English brightness caption persists over the closing logo after about 03:28 and needs timing review.

Effect video and troubleshooting

The archived effect link contains only a generic WeChat path and has no article identifier. An exact source-linked effect video remains unavailable. The source troubleshooting section contains an empty “1.” and supplies no diagnostic procedure. The visible warnings require vehicle-specific diagnosis, correct reassembly and recorded post-work checks before acceptance; no cause, repair, code-clearance or programming method is inferred here.

Review required before release

Resolve the conflicting year ranges, vehicle configuration and kit/module revision; establish which LIN diagram applies to the demonstrated older blue-adapter harness. Confirm the power-isolation/reconnection procedure, fuse/ground/polarity and connector mapping, mechanical retention and clearances, and any required coding. Correct the video introduction, 5B/5P and clip-seating wording, restore harness-wrapping detail and translate essential Chinese tool/menu labels. Review caption segmentation and action timing: some sentences continue across cues, which is not evidence that text was lost. Complete continuous source/English playback and listening, resolve the instrument warnings and steering-wheel-centre reassembly, and record physical functional and restraint checks. Browser/mobile page QA and approval remain separate outstanding steps.
