Vehicle and kit identification
Guide ID: CKCP source archive. This archive concerns the E-Class W213 4D rotating tweeter, including a separately illustrated continuous-rotation version. It is not a 3D tweeter guide.
The original written description says 2016–2023; both product illustrations and the installation video's title say 2016–2022. This difference has not been resolved. Ask CKCP to confirm the vehicle year, original ambient-light configuration and supplied kit version before using the connections below. The source describes synchronization with factory ambient lighting; this review has not independently verified that function.
Product identification
- Illustration 001: 4D kit with blue/white harnesses. The pictured pair includes two tweeters, two rotation-drive modules and two adapter harnesses. The source hardware label identifies a 4D rotation-drive module; the image's item 02 legend calls it an ambient-light module. Identify this component by its actual drive-module label and supplied wiring diagram; the image legend still needs correction.

- Illustration 002: continuous-rotation 4D kit with green harnesses. This illustration shows separate rotation-drive modules and lighting modules. The source rotation module is marked V1.41 and the lighting module is marked LIN(YC) V2.0. These identifiers are partially untranslated or obscured in the English illustration. This version has a different connection diagram and must not be wired by combining instructions from the blue-harness kit. Model names printed on a generic module label do not establish this kit's fitment for another vehicle.

Wiring diagrams: choose the diagram for the supplied kit
- Diagram 001 — 4D rotating-tweeter connections. Callout 2 identifies a four-position connector with three wires for lighting; callout 6 identifies a five-position connector with five wires for the motor. Other callouts distinguish the main harness at the door-control unit, the drive module, its connection to the tweeter motor and the factory speaker connection. A wire count is not a connector-position count.
English wiring diagram 001
- Diagram 002 — continuous-rotation kit with a separate LIN lighting module. Callouts 2 and 9 identify reserved/unused connectors in this diagram. Callout 3 connects the lighting connector to the lighting module; callout 5 identifies a five-position, three-wire lighting connection. Callout 6 shows the green main-harness connector at the door-control unit. Callout 10 identifies a two-position, two-wire audio-signal connection; callout 11 connects to the factory speaker; callout 12 identifies a five-position, five-wire motor connection. The source's wording about the audio-signal branch needs technical clarification before installation.

These are diagram callout numbers, not verified vehicle connector cavity numbers. The diagrams do not supply a complete vehicle pinout, power-isolation procedure or electrical ratings. Fully mate matching connectors as the diagrams instruct; do not choose a cavity, splice a wire or substitute a connector by inference. The source recommends professional installation and checking both sides.
Installation sequence shown in the bound 4D video
The following sequence describes the blue-harness 4D kit visible in this archive's installation clip. It does not establish the procedure for the continuous-rotation/LIN version. The timestamps refer to the installation video linked at the end of this guide.
- Identify tools and the demonstrated kit (00:04–00:19). The source tool card shows a T30 driver, a plastic trim tool and wiring-harness cloth tape. The English video's “D30” subtitle is incorrect; it must not be used as a tool specification. Vehicle-specific fastener torque is not supplied.
- Release the door trim shown in the clip (00:19–00:49). The installer removes the shown screws, uses the trim tool along the lower/front area, lifts the panel away and releases the door-handle cable behind it. The clip is a demonstration, not a complete vehicle-specific power-isolation or door-removal specification.
- Remove the factory tweeter/triangle assembly (00:49–01:07). The video shows the triangle assembly being pulled free and the factory speaker connection released. Preserve the factory connector and check the retaining clips rather than forcing the assembly.
- Seat the replacement tweeter (01:07–01:19). The video shows the replacement at the mirror-triangle position and calls for its two clips to be fully seated. Verify seating before closing the panel.
- Identify the separate speaker, lighting and drive branches (01:19–01:51). The clip shows a factory speaker connection, a blue main-harness connection, lighting branches and a five-wire branch at the drive module's 5P connection. The source calls the lighting branches “three-wire”; the English video incorrectly calls them “3-pin.” Diagram 001 identifies the lighting connector as four-position/three-wire. The source also alternates between “No. 6 pin” and “No. 6 connector,” then mentions a No. 5 connector at about 02:11, which the English subtitle omits. Those vehicle connector identities remain unconfirmed. Obtain the kit's exact connector/cavity map before making these electrical connections.
- Protect and secure the harness and module (01:51–02:06). The demonstrated installer wraps the harness with cloth tape and secures the module inside the door. The observed location is not a verified mounting specification. Confirm clearance from the window mechanism and door hardware, retention and the vehicle's required procedures with CKCP before adopting that location.
- Reassemble the demonstrated door (02:07–02:29). The clip reconnects the door-panel connections and refits the panel. Confirm the handle cable, connectors and panel clips are correctly restored using the applicable vehicle instructions; the unresolved No. 5/No. 6 identities cannot be filled in from this translation.
- Arrange a functional check (02:32–02:35). The source instructs the installer to test the functions. These sampled frames do not demonstrate a completed rotation, lighting or audio acceptance test. Check the correctly identified kit on both sides before release; the technical acceptance criteria still need confirmation.
Results demonstration
The original results entry contains only a generic article address, with no specific results clip established in this archive. The bound installation clip ends with an instruction to test, rather than verified evidence of a completed test. A kit-specific demonstration of rotation, lighting synchronization and audio operation is still required. This guide remains under review.
Troubleshooting from the original guide
- Abnormal rotation: have the installer check the rotation connectors and terminal mating, then confirm that the tweeter is fully seated. Inspect any dislodged door retaining clip that could interfere with the motor. The source distinguishes a unit that works outside the installed position but fails when fitted. Once the matching kit and safe test procedure are confirmed, the source proposes comparing the left/right drive modules or adapter harnesses to see whether the fault follows the component. Do not interchange parts between the two kit versions.
- Abnormal lighting: have the installer check the lighting connectors and terminal mating. If one side operates normally, the source proposes comparing the matching lighting harnesses to see whether the symptom follows the circuit. This is a diagnostic comparison, not permission to guess pin assignments or apply external power.

This English clip is bound to the archived E213 4D source. Chinese tool, stage and technical overlays remain, and the subtitle errors identified above still require media correction. Continuous playback, listening and complete technical acceptance have not been performed in this review.
