This video-led guide covers the fragrance and negative-ion kit named in the archived C-Class 206 / GLC 254 source. The installation demonstration is on a 206 vehicle. It does not establish the same removal procedure, wiring or mounting positions for every 254 vehicle, model year, market or steering configuration. Confirm the exact vehicle, kit and head-unit version before installation.

The steps below restore the source video's installation sequence. Connector colours and mounting locations describe the demonstration; they are not a substitute for the kit's wiring diagram. Electrical connections, the drilled ionizer mounting hole and final functional checks still require technical verification. This local revision remains under review. The existing English film also contains translation errors described below.

Parts shown in the video

At approximately 00:12, the source identifies six parts:

  1. Negative-ion generator.
  2. Fragrance bottle.
  3. Fragrance base.
  4. Ionizer wiring harness.
  5. Fragrance wiring harness.
  6. Fragrance guide tube.

The later wiring section also shows two control modules and their harness branches. Identify these from the instructions supplied with the actual kit; do not use colour alone to select a module port. The demonstration uses a plastic trim tool, screwdrivers and an electric drill with a supplied bit. Approved drill dimensions, fastening torque and electrical pin assignments are not established here.

Installation sequence and video navigation

  1. 00:19–01:08 — Remove the glovebox and surrounding panels. The installer begins with the passenger-side trim beside the glovebox, releases its clips with a trim tool, removes the exposed screws, opens the glovebox and removes further screws inside. The lower panel has two screws in the demonstration. Its connectors are disconnected before the glovebox is taken out. The existing English phrase “pry off the wire harness” does not correctly name the first trim-panel action.

  2. 01:08–01:34 — Identify the control modules and harness branches. The source shows white and yellow module connectors, an additional white branch for the ionizer, a glovebox-lamp branch and an adapter harness for the central HVAC panel. The source refers to the hazard-warning switch connection. “Dual-zone switch” in the current English film is a mistranslation. Verify the exact connector identities against the kit diagram before making any connection.

  3. 01:34–02:18 — Fit the central-panel adapter shown in the demonstration. The installer releases the central trim clips and disconnects the relevant factory plug. The blue outer connector housing is removed; the supplied white insert and black adapter are joined at the demonstrated factory position, and the blue housing is refitted. This scene does not provide numbered terminals or authority to rearrange pins on another connector.

  4. 02:18–03:14 — Route the harness to the glovebox opening. The harness is fed from the central-panel area through the exposed gap towards the removed glovebox. Follow the actual route in the video together with the vehicle-specific instructions. The source does not supply a complete route drawing or approved restraint locations.

  5. 03:14–03:45 — Open access for the fragrance tube. The installer releases the side air vent outward, feeds the tube up from below and lifts the upper speaker cover. The tube outlet is positioned near the exposed upper opening shown in the demonstration. The source identifies a 206 installation; the English film's isolated “26” does not name a different vehicle or tube specification.

  6. 03:45–04:44 — Position the tube outlet and keep the tube clear of clips. The demonstration uses sealing adhesive at the outlet rather than removing the whole dashboard for the alternative route mentioned by the installer. The adhesive type, attachment durability and an approved outlet position still need confirmation. The source distinguishes the adjacent routing hole from a hole needed by a trim clip. Excess tube is arranged into a loose loop to avoid kinking. The English instruction to “roughly heat” the tube is incorrect; the source supports arranging the tube, not heating it. Confirm clearance and tube retention before closing the panels.

  7. 04:44–05:43 — Mount the fragrance base on the glovebox. The base is positioned at the back of the removed glovebox. Its wire is drawn through the shown opening, and the installer secures the base with four supplied screws. The source notes that some holes may not align perfectly and demonstrates adjusting the position. It gives no approved modification dimensions, fastener torque or instruction to force a mismatched base into place.

  8. 05:43–06:25 — Review the ionizer mounting scene before proceeding. The installer uses the supplied drill bit to make an opening at the demonstrated duct location, clips the ionizer assembly into position and connects its white plug. The source's approximate pointing and “any spot” wording are insufficient to authorize drilling or arbitrary module attachment. Obtain the kit's exact hole template, diameter, depth/clearance requirements and mounting instructions before this operation. This guide supplies none of those missing parameters.

  9. 06:25–06:59 — Review the glovebox-lamp connection. The source returns to the glovebox-lamp switch connector. The presenter's demonstration identifies two wires, brown and grey, and shows the supplied clip on the grey wire. The English film incorrectly calls this a “defroster/dome light switch.” That description must not be used to locate a circuit. Wire colour alone does not establish pin assignment, polarity or the correct connection on another vehicle; a verified vehicle-and-kit wiring diagram is required.

  10. 06:51–07:26 — Connect the base and tube, then complete reassembly. The black harness connector is mated with the fragrance base. The reserved guide tube is pushed into the white port shown on the base. The installer tidies the harness, secures the modules and restores the removed connectors and panels. Confirm the tube is seated and the wiring is clear of the refitted parts before closing the glovebox area. The source does not record a complete post-installation inspection.

  11. 07:26–08:20 — Follow the demonstrated browser and device-connection flow. The installer opens the vehicle's browser, enters a service address, waits for the page and QR code, and scans the QR code with WeChat on a phone. The phone then displays a newly found device; the demonstrator selects Connect and reaches the fragrance interface. Use the address and account/device procedure confirmed for the actual kit. The incomplete English “hp” is not a usable address, and this review has not verified the historical service's present availability, security, market support or head-unit compatibility.

  12. 08:20–08:50 — Understand the controls and network condition shown. The demonstrated interface contains fragrance adjustment with three levels and a negative-ion control. The installer describes bookmarking the page and keeping the head unit connected through Wi-Fi or vehicle data. The source expressly says the interface cannot be entered or operated without a network connection. The bookmark scene does not independently verify lasting login, operation after restart or compatibility with other browser versions.

Interface demonstration and unresolved checks

The closing scene shows a control page on the head unit. Its displayed controls establish the demonstrated interface layout; they do not establish fragrance delivery at every level, ionizer output, electrical safety or air-quality improvement. The vehicle's existing PM2.5 display is not evidence of this kit's performance.

The source article contains no still-image installation set and no written fault table. The video provides one clear access condition: the head unit must remain online to use the demonstrated interface. If the page does not load, confirm the connection and obtain the current kit service address and supported device procedure. Other faults require product-specific diagnosis rather than a guessed reset, coding command or wire connection.

Before this guide can be accepted technically, confirm vehicle and kit applicability, the module/connector wiring diagram, the drilling and attachment method, browser/service support, and post-installation checks of the glovebox lamp, HVAC controls, tube routing and fragrance/ionizer functions. The existing English subtitles and voice script must be corrected, followed by continuous audio/video review.

This revision uses the archived source for CKCP source archive and its single exact-bound installation video, wxv_3750172178197479424. The six-part legend and the timed sequence above come from that source. No installation detail or media binding has been borrowed from a different tutorial. Existing publication records remain historical records; this local revision does not establish a new release or technical approval.
