Original English guide from the CKCP tutorial centre. Check your vehicle, equipment and connector version before installation.

This guide follows the six numbered instructions in the original S-Class 222 rotating-tweeter installation image. The archived category identifies 2014–2020 S-Class 222 vehicles; that is the source's stated scope, rather than verified coverage of every model year, audio system or door-module configuration. Match the vehicle and exact supplied kit before installation.

Illustrated installation reference

Six-step S-Class 222 rotating-tweeter installation reference

The single source image contains door-trim removal, adapter and tweeter connections, and one installed-result photograph. The readable steps below restore its instructions. The English image still omits part of step 5 and incorrectly calls the tweeter connector “GAOPU” in step 6. Use the corrected text alongside the original photographs; the image itself has not been corrected in this local revision.

Before installation

  1. Check the vehicle functions and inspect the interior and exterior for existing scratches. Inform the customer of any problems before dismantling. Remove sharp items carried on your person and place tools where they cannot damage panels or seats.

  2. Store removed components carefully, clear wiring debris from the vehicle and insulate wire joints to prevent short circuits.

  3. Plan the module and harness route within the available space. Keep wiring clear of moving components and secure it after routing so it cannot come loose.

  4. Confirm that the vehicle model and supplied product match. The source provides no specific isolation procedure, torque values, pinout or coding instructions; obtain the exact vehicle and kit requirements before starting the work.

Six illustrated steps

  1. Locate the two T20 fixings. The source marks two door-panel screw locations with red circles and close-up insets. It instructs loosening the two T20 screws before releasing the door panel. The image does not provide tightening torque or the complete panel-disconnection sequence.

  2. Release the armrest side trim. Gently open the side trim with a plastic trim tool as shown. Take care not to break its plastic hooks or clips.

  3. Lift out the door-switch assembly. Insert the plastic trim tool from the rear of the switch assembly and lever upward at the illustrated position. This is the door/window-switch unit shown in the photograph; do not infer removal of other switches from this instruction.

  4. Locate the door-control connection. With the door panel removed, the source identifies a harness-adapter connection at position “6” on the door-control module. Use the red-boxed module and connector photographs to identify the demonstrated location. The number refers to the illustrated connector position, not a confirmed electrical pin 6.

  5. Insert the rotating-tweeter module adapter. The source instructs connecting the supplied rotating-module adapter to position “6” on the original door-control module, then connecting the original door-panel plug to the other end of that adapter. The second connection is missing from the existing English image caption. Verify the exact adapter and module identity; the photographs do not establish a universal pin assignment or wire-color rule.

  6. Connect the tweeter lead. Join the original vehicle tweeter connector to the supplied tweeter connector lead as illustrated. The source says “tweeter”; “GAOPU” in the English image is a translation error, not the name of a component. The final photograph shows the installed tweeter with an illuminated ring.

Completion and review limits

The source does not show the complete tweeter mounting/removal method, module securing location, door-panel reconnection and refitting sequence, or a rotation/audio/control/fault-check procedure. Its final photograph demonstrates an illuminated appearance only. It does not verify rotation behavior, sound output, configuration compatibility or fault-free operation.

Before technical acceptance, confirm the exact kit and door-module version, the connector position and adapter arrangement, electrical/isolation requirements, mechanical fixing instructions and final vehicle-function checks. The source's four general precautions are preparation guidance; they are not a vehicle-specific troubleshooting or coding procedure.

No video or external installation-video link is present in this source package, and no exact video is bound to this tutorial. A video from another S-Class tutorial must not be substituted without an explicit source identity chain.
