Please do not email passwords, payment-card numbers or identity documents unless we have explained why a particular item is necessary and how to provide it securely.

Information we use and why

• Accounts and sign-in. We use your email address, display name, account identifier and sign-in records to create or identify your CKCP account, maintain your session and protect access.
• Orders. When you submit an order, we use the contact, billing and delivery details you provide, selected products and options, order amounts, payment status and transaction references to process the order, arrange delivery, provide support and keep transaction records.
• Your car and saved products. We use the vehicle, model year, equipment information and product selections you choose to show relevant products and guides, keep saved items and understand compatibility questions.
• Questions and support. We use the messages, photos, videos, contact details and product or installation context you submit to answer you, route the request to our team and maintain the discussion history.
• Website activity. Website requests involve technical information such as an IP address, browser information and the requested page. We use technical information to deliver and protect the services. The separate measurement features below help us understand how the store and guides are used.

Please only provide information needed for your purchase or support request. Cover vehicle registration plates, addresses, payment details and other private information in photos or videos unless they are needed for the request.

Signing in with Google

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides an account identifier, verified email address and basic profile information such as your name. We use these to sign you in and associate your Google identity with your CKCP account. CKCP does not receive your Google password. Customer sign-in requests identity, email and profile access; it does not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts or Google Drive files.

You can review or revoke the connection in your Google Account connections. Revoking that connection does not automatically erase an existing CKCP account, order or public post; contact us if you also want us to review those records.

Public questions and the community

Questions, replies and attachments submitted through the store’s moderated installation-discussion forms are reviewed before publication. When content appears in a public guide discussion or the community, your display name, post content, attached media and the relevant guide or product context can be viewed by other visitors and copied or indexed outside CKCP.

Our connected community uses your CKCP account identity to associate posts with the correct author. Account and moderation information is available to the staff who operate those services. Use the private support channel for personal order details. Contact us if a public post needs correction or removal; removing it from CKCP cannot remove copies already held by other people or search services.

Chat, WhatsApp and email

When you open “Message us”, our support service uses the page, product, selected vehicle and, where relevant, video position to understand your question. If you are signed in, your CKCP account identifier, display name and email address are provided to the support service. Your messages and any details you choose to submit are available to the CKCP team handling your request.

WhatsApp opens a separate service. The link may include the product, vehicle or tutorial context in a draft message. Information you choose to send there is also handled under WhatsApp’s privacy policy.

We use your email address for relevant account, order and support notifications. Our merchant order-mail connection is separate from customer Google sign-in. Its mailbox authorization and delivery practices are described in the CKCP Store Order Mail Privacy Policy.

Payments and delivery

If you choose PayPal, payment information is processed by PayPal under its privacy statement. CKCP uses the order information, transaction references, amounts and payment results needed to manage your purchase. Payment credentials entered into PayPal are handled by PayPal.

Delivery requires sharing the recipient’s name, address, contact information and relevant shipment information with the carrier and services arranging that shipment.

Cookies, saved preferences and measurement

We use cookies and browser storage to maintain sign-in and shopping sessions, remember selected vehicles or saved items, keep support interactions consistent and store your measurement preference. Blocking this storage can affect sign-in, the cart or support. Items saved only in a browser can be removed by clearing that browser’s site data; records already saved to your account are separate.

Optional CKCP visit measurement. Where the visit-measurement controls are shown, you can allow or decline first-party visit counts and change that choice later. The feature counts relevant product, vehicle and guide activity using a short-lived visit identifier. Its measurement records do not include contact details or message content. This feature respects a browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal by keeping optional visit measurement off. Business records of actions you actually submit, such as an order or question, are kept separately.

Video and other services. Installation pages may include YouTube videos and other externally hosted content. Loading or playing this content can connect your browser to the provider. Google explains this in its privacy policy. Payment and communication providers also have their own storage and privacy practices when you use their services.

Who receives information

Information is used by CKCP personnel responsible for the relevant order, support, moderation or website operation. The services involved include our hosting infrastructure, store and community software, support service, email delivery providers, payment provider and delivery carriers. Information submitted for public discussion is disclosed publicly as explained above.

CKCP operates from China, and our website infrastructure is hosted in the United States. Our team and the providers involved in a service may therefore process information outside your country. Applicable privacy protections can differ by location. Contact us for information about the processing relevant to your request.

Retention and security

Retention depends on why a record exists: whether an account remains in use, whether an order or support case is unresolved, whether a dispute needs the record, and any applicable accounting or legal record-keeping requirement. Our store does not currently apply a fixed automatic deletion period to inactive accounts or order records. You can ask us to review or delete personal information as described below; records may still be needed for unfinished transactions, disputes or legal duties. Browser storage, support conversations and provider-held records can have separate lifetimes. Deleting a sign-in connection does not itself delete an order, support conversation or community post. Backup copies may be retained separately from active records.

We use HTTPS and account-access controls to protect the services. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can update information available in your account, choose whether to use Google sign-in or external communication services, change the optional visit-measurement setting and manage browser storage. You can also contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have additional rights to receive a copy, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to a relevant data-protection authority.

We may need enough information to confirm that a request relates to your account or order. We will consider requests in light of the applicable requirements and explain any information that must be retained. Withdrawing consent for an optional feature does not affect information already processed before withdrawal or records needed for a separate purpose.

Changes to this notice

We will update the date above when this notice changes. A new purpose or permission requiring a separate choice will be explained when that choice is requested.
